Does the stampede accommodate for p.eople with disabilities. Are there spaces for handicap people at all venues?
Great place before a flames game and good food.
I was down at vagabond tonight, with some friends for some pre grey cup food and drinks. The food was amazing and wonderful friendly staff made me feel at home . Definitely recommend!!
MoreGreat place and good food. The owners are awesome and the staff is always helpful
MoreGreat spot for pre-game drinks and eats. Plenty of room. Food is tasty.
Nice close restaurant to the Saddledome, basically kitty corner to the NE parking lot. Place was busy on game night, but waitresses were able to find us some spots to sit together. Food was quite good. We ordered some personal pizzas and a beef dip. Pizzas were quite hearty and beef dip was tasty. We'll definitely go there again before a game.
MoreGreat place for drinks, especially before an event at or around the Saddledome. Staff is great, they even handled a belligerent co-worker of mine very professionally. IMO she should have been asked to leave but they deescalated well.
MoreBest food, craft beer, and service in Calgary!
Service was good. But the half poured shots are pretty disappointing. The chicken fingers were more like veal cutlets, not sure what they do with them....
MoreThe restaurant was pretty much empty on a Saturday when we came in. Our waitress was good however we had to modify most of our orders as they didn't have basic items e.g. spinach, avocado etc. available that were part of their menu.
MoreWent in after the flames game for a quick shot at the bar and the bartender couldn't have been less pleased to be there. Didn't say hi, had to wave him down for any kind of recognition. He poured the shots and I asked if we could pay debit and he shook the machine at us as if he was already doing it. Pretty rude if you ask me, don't you want people working for you that enjoy being there or around people', that is the entire point of the service industry, to be nice and friendly to people.
MoreFalafel burger was delicious! Perfect spot to grab a bite and night cap after the flames game
MoreGreat bar. I go here every Friday with coworkers for steak sandwiches and beer. Very fair price, delicious food/beer and the staff is awesome. Highly recommend. This place is also busy af before/after games. Right by the stadium.
MoreGood pre-game spot, drink service can be slow when busy.
Great family run place. Really good food and great selection of beer on tap!
I've never had a falafel pizza before, but omg what an I credible experience. I will definitely be craving it until the next time I'm there. Sweet and savoury, crispy thin crust with flavourful toppings that were fresh and tasty. The server was also a gem. The restaurant had one other table in it at the time and it was shortly before two. The server went ahead and asked her manager if giving us happy hour prices 15 minutes prior to 2:00 was acceptable and he agreed! This was so nice because it saved us some money, we were starving and really wanted to eat after a long day at the zoo, and it was just the sweetest consideration. 5 out of 5 stars!
MoreUnfortunately it is an overall meh spot. Tried it on several occasions and had mediocre food and service each time.
MoreGood food, friendly staff, awesome location to the saddle dome.
Have been to Vagabond a couple of times before hockey games Calgary Flames. Orders pizza great price $10.00 at happy hour I would highly recommend Vagabond. The service was great and the atmosphere was good as well. Good job see you next game.
MoreOwner was amazing. Took time while obviously busy to visit with us and make sure everything was well. Food was great and prices were reasonable. Definetly recommend!!!
MoreNice place try new things. Best fries around.
Went for lunch. Our server was friendly. For lunch there I recommend the pizza; made in house, it arrives quickly, and the falafel pizza was light but very very tasty and great for lunch. Good selection of beers too.
MoreWent here after the Flames game expecting to grab a bite to eat. Ordered the Chicken fingers thinking that they were, well, chicken fingers. They were not. They were 4 chicken nuggets with some fries. Asked to talk to the manager and was told this is a very common complaint. I don't understand why they still have them on their menu. Only gave 2 stars because I had zero issue with the service from the bartender, it was only the kitchen and their misleading menu that was BS.
MoreGreat beer selection, did not try the food but a nice atmosphere.
Will never come into this place again! Horrible is the best I can give them as a rating. Pizza undercooked and the mix of cheeses did not do it for me at all plus the French fries where so salty I felt my high blood pressure kick in! Stay away for your own good.
MoreFood was alright but nothing spectacular. It's a convenient place to have drinks before going to the dome but if you have to eat I'd suggest going elsewhere. Prices were a bit high for what you get.
MoreTook over 20 minutes just to be acknowledged by the waitress as she literally went to every other table multiple times to get orders. We finally had to flag her down on her 7th time walking by us. When she finally did stop it seemed as though we were an inconvenience to her. She truly didn’t seem to care. Ordered our drinks, appies and food all at once since we had sat for so long we knew exactly what we were getting. To be honest we felt we had to order that way since we assumed the waitress wouldn’t be back anytime soon as she liked to pretend our table didn’t exist. Food was pretty ok. Came out fast once we ordered. Not terrible at all.
MoreWent to Vagabond prior to the Flames game. I got there early, which was good, because the place filled up quickly. It is walking distance to Saddledome and has a big selection of drinks. I ordered the chicken strips and fries with a beer and it was perfect prior to the game- go Flames! If you are looking for a quick place prior to a game or want to watch the game at a bar, look no further.
MoreGrey Cup Saturday, place was understaffed. Server was brand new (she told us) and was very sweet but seemed overwhelmed. We waited 1.5 hours for our food as she forgot to ring it in, proving herself right about being new. Beverages were not refilled for an hour. Super disappointed for a festive weekend, never going here for Flames games that’s for sure.
MoreTen dollar draught beers in a tiny plastic cup. What a joke. The food was decent and the live performance was really nice. Kind of a cash grab......shame
MoreAmazing food and great service. Went for lunch with a large group and service was quick and accurate. Tuna melt was so very good.
MoreGreat service, excellent food, top notch local brew selection
Great food and wonderful staff! It was very busy but had a great experience tonight! Will definitely be coming back for future game nights!
MoreGood service pretty tasty food
Subpar but not horrible. Service was not great and could be improved and waitress seemed inconvenienced by our presence. Burger and food was good though. Great location near the stampede grounds and Saddledome.
MoreBig party caveat but the experience wasn't great. It wasn't bad but service and food were either average it just below average. Yes we were a big party but we were almost there only people in the restaurant for lunch so I'm not sure this is an excuse. I had a beef dip and it was incredibly greasy to the point of hard to eat. I would try it again if I'm in the area but I'm not going to go out of my way.
MoreGreat place great staff and food a must before games
Went to grab dinner and a beer before a flames game. Food was terrible... Pretty sure i ate wet canned beef for the first time in my life. Don't waste your money on food here, but beer selection was decent.
MoreGreat place to watch Flames home games
Great food and service!
I don't usually write reviews but last night I was in Vagabond before the Flames game against the Oilers. I used to be a server and have nothing but respect for our waitress last night. We came in as a group of 40-50 and continued to move around after placing orders and Isabella managed to find us without any problems to deliver drinks and food. She was organized, calm and on top of everything in a shift that I know I would have probably started crying during. I highly recommend this restaurant for a place to go before flames games.
MoreI would give this place 0 stars if I could. - 20 minutes for my drink to arrive- $14 salad that had iceberg lettuce, deli ham marketed as “smoked ham”, and some old cucumber/tomato. The dish was honestly the size of most side salads in other restaurants. - salad was missing 2 ingredients (bacon and pickled egg). - had to wait forever to let the waitress know my order was incomplete. Then I was brought an egg on the side and not offered any sort of remedy. Not a pleasant experience and wouldn’t recommend. There are lots of other places that are way better to chose from if you’re in the area.
MoreGreat place to unwind. Great staff and owners. Great supporters of many local charity events. Great place prior and after Flames games or any Calgary Stampede functions. Always feel welcomed and never disappointed.
MoreGreat location... And that's about all. Terrible food, terrible service. Small dry overcooked wings, average nachos. Server forgot drinks three times and was not very friendly. Will not come back!
MoreHad a fantastic experience the other night at Vagabond. We were served by the lovely, Isabella who spent a great deal of time with our table! It was our first time to Calgary so she told us all about the local activities and sites we needed to check out. Great food, great drinks, great service- would recommend.
MoreWent 1.5 hrs before game time server was great, service was fast and food was good. Prob a tad on the high side for pricing but really... location dictates that. Would def return.
MoreGreat food! Awesome staff! Attentive! Good prices. Close to Stampede centre
Good place to go before the Flames Game.
Met the owner and her mom. Good food and drink close to the saddledome
Their Pizza's are pretty good, as are their burgers. The beer is a little expensive but for the location it's probably normal. I did notice what might have either been an imperfection in the beer, or an infection in the line in one of my beers though. Good food close to the office, will probably keep coming back. Good gluten free options for my buddy.
Morefast friendly service - great local beer
